Although he enjoyed the film, Barry felt that George Miller had employed a misleading title. 1) The lead character appeared to behave and a perfectly rational manner, and was therefore certainly not “Mad”. 2) The vast majority of the film took place where there was no “road” to speak of. And 3) Where were all of the furries he was promised?
